Toddler Art Display

Today was a crazy day. We were extremely busy and had a pretty cranky baby our hands after a full day of running errands in Reno. That said we picked a pretty simple project for the day. Aubrey enjoyed it, but was ready for our bedtime routine once we had our finished product.

Materials
  • 2 wooden pant hangers
  • sponges
  • Paint
  • stick on hooks
I put some paint onto a plate and showed her how to use a sponge to dab paint onto the hanger. We did this with two different color paints on both hangers. Aubrey really enjoyed getting to paint, but had to be reminded that paint wasn't food. After she painted the two hangers I let her paint on black construction paper so that we'd have something to put into her art displays
Once we were done painting and everything was drying, we had to choose a place for her art to be displayed. The stick on hooks are so easy so we just picked a good spot and stuck them on. Like I said, this project was really simple.
Simple as it may be, Aubrey enjoyed herself and now we have a neat way to display her future projects. So far, two days of projects down, this is proving to be challenging, but very rewarding... happy new year, only 40 minutes away :)

  1. Very cute! Take pictures of her work or scan them into the computer so you can save them all! :) Happy New Year to all of you.
